Does your child struggle with ADHD? Do YOU struggle with your child?
If you answered yes, you're not alone. I know first hand how frustrating it can be for both myself and my daughter on a daily basis. As a parent who is not afflicted with ADHD, it's often a struggle for me to understand how her brain works. I have found myself saying "can't you just focus and get it done all ready?" Homework is probably not the time of day you look forward to and getting your child to clean his room or finish his chores is probably a battle you know all too well! Not to mention the calls from the teacher or the fact that you feel completely drained by your son or daughter whom you've nicknamed the "Engergizer Bunny".
My goal is to help you by introducing you to the Total Focus Program, it has tremendously helped myself and my daughter manage her ADHD.
Beyond medication:
A step-by-step program to help improve your child's focus and behavior at school and at home
If your child struggles in school and has behavior issues at home due to problems with attention and hyperactivity, The Total Focus Program will teach you simple techniques you can use with your child to help improve his ability to concentrate, stay on-task and control impulsive behavior.
Dr. Myers will show you how to communicate with and motivate an attention-disordered child to help you better manage his behavior and school performance. You'll learn techniques for calming a child who's constantly "wound up" so you can reduce over-stimulation and hyperactivity and get him to settle down.
Best of all, you can help your child learn techniques he can use to stay focused and alert, avoid outbursts and inappropriate behavior, and get along better with teachers and family.
How Total Focus Works
In The Total Focus Program, Dr. Myers uses behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive rehabilitation or "brain training" in a positive, team approach that's fun and rewarding for children and parents.
Dr. Myers will help you establish a reward-based system at school and at home that keeps your child's "eyes on the prize," encouraging him to pay attention, complete his schoolwork and behave appropriately. On day one, you will learn how to set your child up for success?building on these successes to help him develop his ability to pay attention and control his behavior. Ultimately, you will be teaching your child coping skills that enable him to adapt to the challenges of attention disorders and hyperactivity.
I am going to review the program so you can get an idea of what it is all about and make an informed decision of whether or not you think it will be a help to you and your family.
I have also included many helpful articles on ADHD in an effort to educate "newbie" parents and add to the knowledge of parents who have been dealing with the disorder for many years.
